RETAIL EXPANSION: BRISBANE FLAGSHIP STORE

Located on Edward Street within the bustling Central Business District of Brisbane, SARAH & SEBASTIAN's Brisbane Flagship store marks our first location in Queensland and our biggest store to date.

“There has always been significant support from Queensland clients and the opening of our first Brisbane store is an exciting step for the brand. Brisbane has five times the footprint of our first store in Paddington, which opened in 2017, a testament to our enduring growth in Australia,” explains SARAH & SEBASTIAN's CEO, Amelia Fincher of the expansion. 

Housed within a 1886 heritage-listed building and nestled amongst local artisans and renowned international retailers, the store is an immersive destination for our full suite of Services, including Soldered™, Luxury Piercing, and Gift Concierge, as well as consultations to discover Fine Jewellery, Engagement Rings and Wedding Bands. 

Exclusive to the Brisbane Flagship is our new Ear Alchemy™ Styling service, an opportunity to explore styling options before committing to piercings. Hosted on the shop floor alongside a circular interactive display, the appointment encourages a playful self-discovery experience to explore our full range of piercing jewellery.

Our dedicated Piercing Lab, located behind a curved in the ribbon wall, offers a private suite for clients seeking the ultimate luxury piercing experience. Awash with a soothing duck egg blue, the lab's interior is designed to create a calming environment, whilst suspended oculus lighting mimics natural light, providing a cool and tranquil setting. With skilled and knowledgeable expert piercers, you can expect to receive the highest quality service and care. 

Conveniently located on the retail floor upon entry to the store is our SOLDERED™ Bar, offering a sentimental and social experience that complements the open retail space. At the end of the store sits the Engagement and Wedding Consultation suite, a private space featuring custom-built circular banquet seating and a linear horizontal display cabinet.

Designed by architect George Livissianis, our long-time collaborator behind our Strand Arcade and Melbourne City stores, the space seamlessly blends heritage and modern elements and embodies our signature interior aesthetic. Original exposed brickwork, ornate ceiling panels and arched framed windows are contrasted by sleek curved structures and reflective surfaces. 

Housing our latest collections and an edit of our signature pieces, a polished curved display unit takes centre stage, featuring a split-level floating design. An undulating ribbon wall reminiscent of ocean waves separates the retail floor from the Service areas, creating private spaces for intimate appointments.

Embracing natural light, the store’s colour palette champions a lighter mood than previous stores. According to co-founder and Creative Director Sarah Munro, “the design is an evolution of our signature store design embracing a lighter colour palette while continuing to use materials synonymous with the SARAH & SEBASTIAN aesthetic, such as stainless steel and mirror surfaces.” ADDRESS
